The Shiba Inu community has received a new update on the ecosystem’s layer 2 blockchain, Shibarium.

A longtime member of the Shiba Inu community, Mazrael, posted an update from Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya on X, hinting at a Shibarium reorg and migration.

The update is a major step forward for the Layer-2 network as its infrastructure upgrade continues.

Mazrael shared Kaal’s message that the Shibarium reorg is now solved. Mazrael said the remaining step is for DRPC to complete the same transition in the new environment. “Moving forward,” Mazrael added.

In late 2025, old public RPC endpoints connecting to Shibarium were shut down as part of a migration to a new, official, more stable, and decentralized RPC infrastructure.

Further details on the Shibarium reorg and migration were not available at press time, with the Shiba Inu community watching its impact on the SHIB ecosystem and what comes next.

In a September 15, 2026, X post, Mazrael informed Shibarium node operators of a peer rotation as new Bor static-nodes and Heimdall persistent_peers were published, with the old set now obsolete.

Mazrael noted the peer update to be a full rotation rather than an addition, with the new IPs entirely different from the previous set.

Earlier, the Shibarium RPC listing was refreshed in the ethereum-lists/chains registry, with updated connection details made available on Chainlist. The update was necessitated after Shibarium migrated its public RPC in November 2025, and the entry was never updated, which has now been addressed.

Along similar lines of an upgrade to the Shiba Inu layer-2 network, the Shibarium explorer Shibariumscan reports an ongoing reindexing of the chain, with 53% of blocks currently indexed.

In a separate development but still within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, the official shib.io website and the ShibaSwap page were moved to Cloudflare on September 12, 2026, with IPv6 added to both, leaving the old host behind. Mazrael noted that Shiba Inu’s official documentation at doc.shib.io was migrated as well.
