Node
A computer that keeps its own copy of the chain and checks every rule.
A full node downloads and independently verifies every block rather than trusting anyone's summary. Running one is how a participant enforces the rules for themselves. The number and distribution of nodes is a better measure of decentralisation than the number of coin holders.
