Pump.fun has climbed roughly 14% over the past 24 hours, pushing PUMP close to $0.006 as strong technical momentum and continued token buybacks keep traders focused on a possible breakout.
Summary
- PUMP trades near $0.0058 after gaining roughly 14% in twenty-four hours, CoinGecko data shows.
- Pump.fun spent $1.02 million buying and burning 187.1 million PUMP tokens in its latest update.
- RSI near 67.65 shows strong momentum while price approaches the key $0.006 resistance area again.
- Co-founder Alon Cohen says Pump.fun app charges zero fees on Solana and 0.1% crosschain trades.
- Pump.fun has burned 168.89 billion PUMP, equal to 16.889% of the original total token supply.
CoinGecko shows PUMP trading near $0.0058, with a 24-hour range of roughly $0.0050 to $0.0060. The token has gained 32.4% over seven days and carries a market capitalization near $2.7 billion, while daily trading volume stands above $500 million.

Can Pump.fun price break $0.006?
PUMP briefly reached roughly $0.006 during the latest advance before pulling back toward $0.0058. The level now forms the closest visible resistance after price accelerated from the $0.004 area during the final week of September.
The daily chart still favors buyers. The 14-day RSI stands near 67.65, above its moving average around 58.10. Momentum remains strong, although the indicator is approaching 70, the level commonly associated with overbought conditions.

MACD remains positive as well. The MACD line sits near 0.000380, above the signal line around 0.000206, while the histogram remains positive at roughly 0.000174. The readings show upward momentum strengthened following the mid-September pullback.
A sustained break above $0.006 would clear the nearest resistance visible on the chart. Failure to hold the current advance would put $0.005 back in focus, while the earlier consolidation zone around 0.0040-0.0043 provides a lower technical reference.
Pump.fun buybacks continue as PUMP rises
Pump.fun reports spending $1.02 million on Sept. 29 to buy and burn 187.1 million PUMP at an average price around $0.005446. The purchase used roughly 8,500 SOL and represented 49.77% of reported revenue for the day.
A day earlier, the platform spent another $1.21 million to remove 228.3 million PUMP. Sept. 27 brought a $1.14 million burn, while $1.46 million was deployed on Sept. 26.
Cumulative purchases have now reached roughly $468.44 million, according to Pump.fun’s dashboard. The platform says 168.89 billion PUMP have been bought and permanently burned, equal to 16.889% of the token’s original one trillion supply.
Pump.fun currently targets roughly 50% of platform revenue for the buyback program. Its dashboard puts annualized revenue near $525.49 million based on the 90-day average, although the company warns that its fee dashboard does not currently account correctly for revenue and buybacks from custom pairs.
The current program follows months of heavy token purchases. In related coverage, crypto token buybacks across Pump.fun and other protocols reached record levels during 2026, with Pump.fun and Hyperliquid accounting for most of the tracked purchases.
Pump.fun states that historical purchases should not be interpreted as a promise that discretionary buybacks will continue. Its programmed allocation remains separate from purchases that can be changed or stopped by affiliated entities.
PUMP still faces a test after its fast rally
The latest advance has pushed PUMP well above the levels seen during its September pullback. CoinGecko data show the token gaining more than 30% over seven days, while the current 24-hour high has already touched $0.006.
Price momentum has strengthened quickly, leaving the RSI less than three points below 70. An RSI move above that threshold would not guarantee a reversal, but it would show that the rally has reached an increasingly stretched momentum reading.
Recent treasury activity has run alongside the buybacks. As Pump.fun’s recent SOL transfer to Kraken showed, a platform-linked wallet moved 47,994 SOL worth roughly $5.83 million to the exchange on Sept. 27. Lookonchain estimated cumulative SOL movements classified as sales at 5.236 million SOL, worth around $848 million.
An exchange deposit does not confirm that every transferred token was sold after reaching Kraken. The transfer and PUMP buybacks are separate treasury activities, and no verified evidence currently establishes the Sept. 27 movement as the cause of PUMP’s subsequent price action.
Pump.fun pushes cheaper trading through its app
Away from price action, Pump.fun co-founder Alon Cohen has outlined a trading strategy centered on low fees and access to tokens outside the platform’s own launchpad.
Cohen described Solana trading through the Pump.fun social trading app as carrying roughly 0% platform fees, while crosschain transactions cost around 0.1%.
many people have asked what our ultimate goals are for the Pumpfun app given the fact that it currently charges ~0% fees.
the stronger the Pumpfun app gets, the more we can leverage its growth to help tokens across the Pumpfun ecosystem. our goal is to give tokens launched on…
— alon (@a1lon9) September 29, 2026
Cohen said the app is intended to help distribute tokens created through Pump.fun while still letting users trade opportunities from other chains and launchpads. The approach keeps Pump.fun’s launchpad at the center of its business while giving app users access to outside assets.
Recent comments from Cohen put callout rewards at $11 million distributed in under six weeks. Holder rewards had paid another $8.5 million in less than two weeks, while Pump.fun recently introduced a referral program.
Pump.fun had already expanded beyond Solana-only token trading. Its addition of HyperEVM token trading in August allowed users to trade HyperEVM assets through USDC inside the Pump.fun app, with the platform promoting low crosschain trading fees.
