XRP is once again testing the $1.50 resistance zone that has capped its advances for roughly 230 days.
XRP is once again pressing toward a price level that has repeatedly stopped its advances for months.
The make-it-or-break-it $1.50 level appears to be the key threshold that could determine whether the latest recovery develops into a much larger move.
Crypto trader Dom (@traderview2) took note of this level after XRP tested its three-month and six-month rolling volume-weighted average prices, or rVWAPs, as support this week.

This week price tested the 3M & 6M rVWAP as support for the first time in over a year – positive sign
Flipping $1.50 to support is still the only thing that matters here in the immediate
That will open the door for a fierce move to $1.80+

According to Dom, however, turning $1.50 from resistance into support would be a more important development.
“Flipping $1.50 to support is still the only thing that matters here in the immediate,” he said. Such a move could “open the door for a fierce move to $1.80+.”
The accompanying XRP/USDT daily chart shows why the $1.50 area carries so much technical weight.
XRP has repeatedly encountered selling pressure around roughly $1.48-$1.55 since February.
Several attempts to move through that area in February, March, April, and May were rejected.
The latest rally produced another test of the same region. XRP briefly pushed substantially above it, with a long upside wick extending toward the $1.70 area, before sellers forced the price back beneath $1.50.
Dom noted that XRP has effectively remained trapped beneath the key level for roughly 230 days.
Bulls would need to establish acceptance above it and, ideally, successfully retest the area as support.
According to CoinGlass data, futures open interest stood at approximately $3.18 billion, while 24-hour futures volume reached $3.90 billion.
That compares with only about $717 million in spot volume.
Open interest was also rising across many major exchanges. Binance XRP open interest increased 3.15%, OKX rose 6.11%, Gate climbed 5.76%, and MEXC jumped 10.17%.
Binance’s XRP long-to-short account ratio stood at 2.16, while the exchange’s top-trader account ratio reached 2.59.
